Services and fees
I offer acupuncture appointments, with cupping or gua sha (to relieve tight muscles) and moxibustion (heat treatment) when needed, recommend Chinese herbs, and offer Chinese medicine food therapy advice. An initial evaluation and treatment appointment lasts 90 minutes and subsequent appointments are 60 minutes. Out of pocket costs are $150 for the initial visit and $90 for subsequent treatments. Unfortunately I can’t accept credit cards and prefer to not accept cash, as I cannot track it easily. I prefer to accept checks, payments via Zelle, Google Pay, Apple Pay & Cash App. I can bill a couple of health insurance plans, please see more information below.
What can you expect during your first session?
We will go through your health history, I ask some detailed Chinese medicine questions that relate to various organs and body systems, as well as feel your pulse and look at your tongue. Then I will make a preliminary Chinese medical diagnosis and give you an acupuncture treatment. If you are interested in taking Chinese herbs, I can create a tailored formula on the second treatment.
insurance billing
To best serve you, we should verify your insurance benefits before you arrive. Please contact me via text or email so that I can check for you. I accept a few major insurances, including United Health Care, Veterans Affairs, Personal Injury, and Worker's Compensation cases. These insurers offer different plans to choose from, some of which may cover my services and some of which may not, but I will help you find out if your plan does.
By contacting me today, I can begin verifying your insurance benefits through your insurance provider. Some of the answers that I will obtain for you are:
• Does your policy cover acupuncture services?
• Does your coverage have any exclusions or limitations?
• Do you have in or out-of-network coverage?
• Do you have an annual deductible?
• Do you have a co-payment or co-insurance?
• Do you have a yearly visit limit?
If your policy covers my treatments, I will bill your insurance provider for my services. If my services are not covered under your plan, then I will let you know about alternate payment options. I accept checks and payments via Zelle, Google Pay, Apple Pay & Cash App.
Regardless of your financial situation, I can tailor a treatment package for you if your insurance policy does not cover my services.
